My latest additions

I've just added two more jewellery boxes to my Etsy shop which are both available to buy!

The first is very similar to the one I made for myself. Using Annie Sloan Old White Chalk paint, I have transformed this tired and dull box into something quite beautiful!

It has a gingham door panel, complete with a detachable white heart, four drawers, compartments in the main area and also a necklace hanger. It's not just a lovely shabby chic jewellery box, it's practical too!

The other addition to my jewellery box family is more of a chest, with one drawer and a lid. It's been painted with the Old White paint and sanded down to give that shabby chic finish. I have swapped the old and dated material with a very stylish, French looking fabric and added a jute bow to add a country feel.

Quite beautiful if I may say so myself!

First sale!

This box was looking a little bit more shabby than chic before I got my hands on it. Again, I've removed the dated glass and replaced it with simple gingham fabric. The wooden heart is removable if you prefer a plainer jewellery box - you could even pin your earrings to it if you fancied... handy!

This was my first sale after only two days of setting up shop! So again, not for sale I'm afraid. But to get your hands on your own paintmenew jewellery box please visit http://www.etsy.com/shop/PaintMeNewShop

The first jewellery box

This is my first jewellery box, painted with Old English White eggshell paint. The window has been replaced with a lovely pale grey gingham fabric, topped with a shabby chic painted heart.

This began as a much loved jewellery box which I'd owned for a very long time, so after it's makeover I decided to keep it for myself. So sorry, not for sale!
